Element by Marriott
This review of the wheelchair accessibility of the Element by Marriott in Salt Lake City, Utah is from Summer 2023.
The Marriott Salt Lake City Downtown is a new hotel (as of 2023) in downtown Salt Lake City. It is within a few blocks of the light rail, which goes straight to the airport (and other destinations). All of downtown is within walking/scooting distance, so finding things to explore or places to eat is easy. And it has a gorgeous pool/deck at the top. But its rooms were a little smaller than expected, and its roll-in shower was too small for my purposes–it was more of a 3’x3′ standing shower.
Entrance, Lobby, and Elevator
The entrance had a power door that was motion activated. The lobby was spacious and easy to navigate. The elevator had digital key access, so I could use my phone to unlock the elevator. Note that this requires the Marriott Bonvoy app.
Room
The bed height was 22″ and the toilet height was 18″. The blinds were fully automatic, which is always a nice touch. The shower was advertised as a roll-in shower, but it was a smaller 3′ x 3′ standing shower and was not usable by me. Thankfully, I was only there for a night.
Rooftop pool
The rooftop pool was gorgeous. Great views, and pretty accessible.

Overall, the wheelchair accessibility of the Element by Marriott in Salt Lake City was ok. The facility was largely accessible and the room functionable. But the size of the shower would be a problem for more than a very short stay.
